About the Artist

I am a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, a prestigious national organization based in New York City, with only about 600 Signature Members worldwide. This top honor grants me the distinction of using the initials “PSA” after my signature on all pastel paintings and all correspondence. Consequently the value of my artwork that you own has appreciated with my inclusion in this organization as a Signature Member. Many thanks to those who have invested in my work and career.

I have over 30 years in Philadelphia as a Graphic Designer/Art Director and a 5-year Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Cleveland Institute of Art. This has honed and refined my sense of composition, pattern and color. Two decades of working with pastels’ marvelously pure colors allowed me to combine my drawing skills with a bold use of color and light, maximizing the strength of this media.

I have won numerous top awards, and my pastels are owned by individuals and collectors across North America. My work has been widely exhibited, including The Butler Institute of American Art and The Eastern Shore Art Association’s Pastel Exhibition, and The Tutt Art Galleries in Kelowna, BC.

“The animating force of my work is color. Drawing provides the bones and framework of an image, but the energy & sense of life, it seems, is breathed in with color.”
